Entrepreneurship often arrives from the unknown and sometimes that comes with fear. We often ask, what if my business fails? Well, entrepreneurs make mistakes and this how we learn. Try to not get discouraged because the most fun piece about the startup world is exploring ideas and pivoting to make it all work over and over.

NO FEAR ALLOWED

If we start at the beginning with the fear that keeps so many of us from evolving, then it’s difficult to gain momentum. Diving into something new & creating your business from scratch can seem daunting and uncomfortable. So the question is how do you get comfortable with being uncomfortable?

A lot of the uncomfortable would be a lot more comforting if we didn’t feel like we put in the spotlight. Social media making you feel like everyone is watching and checking up? This seems to contribute to the fear of starting.

It takes awhile to get comfortable in entrepreneurship, but the discomfort can fuel you to create some level of certainty about your game plan. Whether it’s how you create, what you sell, the offers you make and your communication, we all learn to dive right in.

KEEPING MOMENTUM

You have been smart enough to get to where you are today, and you have been intuitive enough to make the decisions that have guided you to the success that you’ve found. When you can fully trust in your ability to figure things out, start fresh, honor your talents, to define your own version of success, then you have nothing to fear when it comes to momentum.

RELYING ON YOURSELF

When you start your own business, you become the boss. You wear every hat in the company. The success of your business before you can hire a team, solely depends on your own efforts. This is can seem daunting, especially if you plan to go full-time and put your entire livelihood on your own shoulders.

The best way to combat this fear is to admit that you don’t know what you don’t know, and work with someone who does know. For specific roles, we must contract out or hire specifically legal.

Part of entrepreneurship is recognizing and accepting where you need help. You learn a lot about yourself, personality and traits to define who you are and what you are passionate about. If your fears are rooted in relying on yourself, the good news is that you don’t have to. Team up with people who can support the areas that aren’t your strengths so you can focus on the areas where you shine.
